Troop 888 Merit Badge Classes

Troop 888 requires all Scouts in the troop to earn their Eagle required Merit Badges from Troop driven Merit badges classes and instructions. These classes are typically a couple of hours a week, over a 5-15 weeks period. There will be strict age/rank requirements. Please review carefully.

Cycling

Requirement: At least 1st Class

Scouts will learn safety while cycling, first aid for injuries or illnesses that could occur while cycling, including cuts, scratches, blisters, sunburn, heat exhaustion. Only 10 approved SCOUTS. Announcements will be made when registration closes.

Personal Management

Requirement: Scouts who have started a virtual MB and have partials to complete.

The Personal Management Badge is earned by Scouts who have mastered long-term and short-term life planning. This badge is primarily for Scouts to understand how to prepare for life events, budget, and the value of money.

Initially 8 Scouts and must be able to meet via Zoom/Google/Teams.

Personal Fitness

Requirement: At least 1st Class

For many Scouts, the Personal Fitness merit badge is one of the last speed bumps — or roadblocks — on the journey to the Eagle Scout Award. In the hands of an effective merit badge counselor, however, it can be more of an on-ramp to a lifetime of better health.
