Greetings!

We have just got the news that Camporee 2023 is being held this year on April 28th – 30th.
This event will be held in Rancho Los Mochos, Livermore. The theme for this year is “May the Oath Be With You”

Our Troop is hosting this event this year and we have already started the planning. We would like for all our scouts to join in this fun filled weekend for scouting activities. The event registration will soon be open on the troop website.

This event is always a lot of fun as Scouts get to participate in a variety of activities and they get many opportunities to develop their leadership skills, foster team-building through competition, build friendships, increase self-confidence and above all build their Scout spirit.

What is Camporee?

Camporee is typically a 2-night event organized by the Meridian District and is a fun weekend filled with skill and team building competitions, provides opportunities to build Patrol spirit, bond with Patrol mates/Scouts and meet other Scouts/Troops from our District. This event is not focused on requirements or advancement.

“A Camporee is many things—camping fun for youth, the thumping of hundreds of feet on the way to an evening campfire, and the blue smoke from fires cooking stew or ham and eggs. It’s the patter of rain on many tents at night. It’s the ripple of wind-blown flags in the morning sun. It’s catching the idea of teamwork in a patrol. It’s learning to carry out an order to help the team succeed.”

Key Dates:

March 17th, 2023: Deadline to sign up and receive a Camporee T-shirt and patch (Guaranteed!)
April 2nd, 2023: Last day to sign up however no guarantee of T-shirt/ patch as they must be ordered in advance
