New scouts, Welcome to Troop 888. Here is your first opportunity to start your outdoor hiking journey as a Boy Scout. We will be hiking @ Las Trampas Regional Park – 18012 Bollinger Canyon Rd, San Ramon, CA 94583 on the Elderberry Trail/Rocky Ridge View Trail. We will be working on your Scout Rank and completing the Highlander award given by the MDSC. All scouts and Parents are welcome to attend. Please meet at 7:30am by the Gravel Parking Area (just past Little Hills Picnic Ranch). Look for the Troop 888 Flag.     Remarks: Description: This is an all-day outing event intended to help younger scouts with their rank advancement. I am aiming to complete some of the requirements for the Cooking Merit Badge. We will be going over various requirements from Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class ranks. Although this outing is meant for younger scouts, older scouts are welcome to join as well. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided and we should be back home before dinner. We can take up to 5 scouts in our car. If possible, we would like to request another adult to join us. Day 1 of my project will include Sanding wood and priming all parts. The project will be from 9AM – 2PM on Saturday, March 21st. If any adults are interested in attending to help supervise and learn about Eagle projects, please RSVP confirming your availability. I will need 5 scouts to complete Day 1’s work for this project. Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty with sawdust. Bring Medical A/B and activity consent forms. You cannot participate without these forms. Refreshments will be provided. If anyone has any electric sanders, please bring them.
