    SRV CERT outing
    May 11 @ 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Remarks: ASM: Mrs.Lax SPL: Shreyas Kukanur Description: About CERT and why you should attend: Community Emergency Response Training (CERT) is a course designed to empower citizens in a disaster. We need simulated VICTIMS to practice on and would like to have your Scouts participate – with opportunities to get made-up with fake blood, impaled tissue, broken limbs, and other boo-boos. Adults wanting to participate are also welcome. This is a perfect opportunity for scouts taking the E-Prep merit badge to complete requirement (7) “Take part in an emergency response project, either a real one or a practice drill, with a Scouting unit or a community agency.” It also appears to satisfy the Ready&Prepared/Emergency Preparedness BSA Award requirement for Boy Scouts: (3) “With your troop or team, including its adult leaders, participate in emergency preparedness training conducted by community emergency preparedness agencies.” Also, a great way for anyone to volunteer for their community! (There will be pizza and snacks for all the kids/adults Provided by CERT) We are meeting at the event site.(1500 Bollinger Canyon Road, San Ramon ) THERE WILL BE NO CARPOOL FOR THIS OUTING. (We won’t be meeting at Gale Ranch) What to Bring- Medical A/B and consent form. Wear class B uniform, closed toe shoes.
