Shawn Thomas’ Eagle Project + Conservation Outing

Categories: Eagle Project.

This Eagle Project was for Save The Bay, a nonprofit organization focused on restoring and protecting the San Francisco Bay through habitat restoration and advocacy. The project focused mainly on conservation work at Save The Bay’s native plant nursery in Palo Alto. Volunteers helped weed out invasive plant species, which supported the growth of native plants used for restoration around the Bay. Along with the conservation work, the group also delivered a bench that had been built earlier for Save The Bay volunteers to use at the nursery site. Scouts were asked to wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and Class B uniforms since the work area was expected to be muddy and outdoors.
