Remarks: The work done on this day will be a part of Day 2
Description: For this day, scouts will be expected to complete the final assembly of the band/orchestra instrument cabinet for Live Oak Elementary School (connecting the pre-cut and pre-stained pieces).

This includes:
– attaching side pieces (5’ x 3’) to top/bottom pieces (3.875’/46.5” x 3’) using pocket hole joinery
– drilling multiple pilot holes in the side pieces and later inserting shelf pins, which serve to hold the two shelves of the cabinet.
– installing casters/wheels to the bottom of the cabinet using screws
– attaching a backer board with nails

Lunch will be provided.

Scouts who participate will earn 4 service hours.

**I will need 4 OLDER SCOUTS to assist with the use of power tools. More details will be sent to those who are signed up via email.**
