Description: Meet at GRMS at 8:00 AM on Saturday in Class A uniform,. We will arrange carpools and leave for Del Valle Regional Park at 8:30 AM.

Timings:
– Meet at GRMS at 8:00 AM on Saturday, depart for Del Valle by 8:30 AM
– Depart from Eagles View Group Campsite by 11:00 AM on Sunday (drivers arrive by 10:30 AM), arrive at GRMS by 11:30 AM
New Scouts, this will be your first camping experience as Scouts. You will be able to learn the basics of backpacking, hiking, and overnight camping. There will also be opportunities to work on some Scout and Tenderfoot requirements.
Senior Scouts will assist with trailhead stations, group cooking and other activities. Senior Scouts may attend only activities on Saturday and do not have to camp overnight. PLC members, preferably Troop Guides and Instructors, are needed to run the trailhead stations.
Senior Scouts, please indicate the following in the sign-up details:
– If you plan to stay the night
– If you want to be a cook, and if so which requirement your cooking would count for. Cooks must stay the night and will need to bring their own patrol box. Please send me an email as well if you would like to cook, and wait until I confirm with you before signing up.
Siblings are not allowed at the campout.
Scouts, if your parents are able to drive to or from camp, please indicate this in the sign-up details, as well how many scouts they can drive.
Adults:
– We can only accommodate 7 adults (at least 2 must be ASMs) to stay the night. If you plan to camp overnight, you must bring your own tent.
– Please indicate in the sign-up details if you are driving Saturday to camp and/or picking up Sunday from camp, as well as the number of Scouts and backpacks you can transport in your vehicle
– Parking instructions and directions will be provided before the campout.
For Saturday departure: Scouts must be in to Class A uniform. Please make sure to have your Medical A & B and Activity Consent forms with you when we depart.
Preparation Before Campout:
– Backpack/Camping essentials were covered at the new Scout and parent meetings
– Backpack/Camping check-up will be done at remote patrol meetings if needed
– Sign-up cut-off date is 03/08/24.

Troop will provide tents for the scouts. Scouts will NOT need to bring their own tents.
