Description: This Eagle project involves building a memorial bench for Mr. Steve Gentry, a renowned beekeeper and conservationist, as well as a founder of Wagner Ranch Nature Reserve.

Our beneficiary is Wagner Ranch Nature Reserve, a nature preserve and historic site that offers hands-on experiential education to over 1000 Orinda students annually. Mr. Gentry himself would participate in the summer camps, spreading environmental knowledge and awareness to the camps, as well as help Ms. Jaeger (the beneficiary) with any nature related projects that would take place at the preserve.

We will be sanding the redwood needed to make our bench, building the bench, and then add protective stain to the wood.

You will earn 3 hours of service. If possible, please bring your own gloves and goggles, as well as your BSA activity consent forms and medical forms A and B. Pizza and water will be supplied.
